APR / Annual Percentage Rate
APR is the interest rate reflecting the total yearly cost of the interest on a loan, expressed as a percentage rate.
You should look for credit cards that offer a low introduction rate (usually for at least 6 months). But be sure you know what happens when that introductory (or 'teaser') rate expires. Does anything else in the deal change apart from the rate?
Annual Fee
A bank charge for use of a credit card levied each year, which can range from $15 to $300, billed directly to the customer's monthly statement. Many credit cards come without an annual fee.
Some credit card issuers charge Annual Fees which can be as little as $0 to as high as $300 per year. Get a card with the lowest annual fees.
Grace Period
The Grace Period is the amount of time that you have to pay your balance in full in order to avoid being charged interest on the outstanding balance.
For example, if the grace period is 30 days, then you have 30 days (the "Due Date") from the Statement Closing Date to pay the Total Balance which appears on your credit card. Usually, interest will accrue beginning on the date that you made EACH charge if you do not pay beyond the grace period.
Interest rates on any cash advances
Interest rates is the fee charged from money lent.
Generally, grace period does not apply to Cash Advance. So, any cash advance that you make will be applied interest immediately, sometimes, even higher interest. Don't rely on your credit card as a source of cash advances unless it is really necessary.
Late payment charges and Overlimit Fee
If your payment arrives after the Due Date shown on the Statement, you will be charged for any interest due PLUS a late fee of anywhere from $10 to $50 or more. Check the disclosure statement to find more detailed fee for this section.
Most credit card issuers set a Credit Limit on your account when they issue you a credit card. If your charges, interest and fees exceed that limit, the credit card issuer will charge what is called an Overlimit Fee, which can be as little as $10 to as much as $50 or more. The amount of the fee is detailed in this section of the disclosure statement.
