MasterCard's Zero Liability Protection

|
If unauthorized charges appear on your MasterCard statement, you are protected by MasterCard's "Zero Liability" policy, which removes your obligation to pay for those charges. This applies to all U.S.-issued MasterCard consumer cards (debit and credit).
"Zero Liability" applies to purchases made in a store, over the telephone or on the Web. MasterCard cardholders are covered under the following conditions:
1. Your account is in good standing.
2. You have exercised reasonable care in safeguarding your card.
3. You have not reported two or more unauthorized events in the past 12 months*
It is important to safeguard your cards and account numbers, and to review your statement promptly. If you suspect unauthorized activity on your account, or if your card is lost or stolen, contact the financial institution that issued the card as soon as possible.
Knowing that you are protected against fraud or unauthorized charges can provide peace of mind.
